As the Pharmacy Technician – Home Delivery, you will be asked to shadow to demonstrate what right looks like as a fully proficient Technician. Positively contributes to overall team motivation and drives team engagement. As permitted by state regulation, interprets providers’ prescriptions, and creates order, assesses, inputs and retrieves prescription, medical/lab and reimbursement information from computer system.

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5pm CST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prescription requests
  • Entry, billing, and submittal of the customer’s order to fulfillment for delivery assist with operations support, training, and process improvements
  • Contribute to updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and team content
  • Creation/routing of pharmacy orders through receipt
  • Demonstrate handling both inbound and outbound member/patient calls
  • Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data submit prescription orders in computer system
  • May contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information and establish priority of order or delivery details
  • Applies knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities
  • Demonstrates great depth of knowledge/skills in own function
  • Acts as a technical resource to others in own function
  • Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests
  • Solves moderately complex problems on own
  • Works with team to solve complex problems
  • Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and completes work to meet established objectives
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience with every interaction
  • Provide a holistic approach to case management by completing the following duties for each customer assigned
  • Extensive work experience within own function
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
  • Works independently
  • May coordinate other activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted State NHA CpHT license OR Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician license via EXCPT or PTCB without restrictions OR ability to obtain license within 60 days of employment  
  • 1+ years of pharmacy experience 
  • 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous pharmacy technician or patient experience
  • Call-center or telephonic work
