Advisory Services Analyst – Manual Testing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with business partners, and programmers to create / analyze required project documents and ensures that quality assurance processes are incorporated
• Develop Test Plan and Test Case by working closely with Project team to gather requirements and resolve ambiguities
• Perform various forms of testing like Functional, Integration, Security, Service, Performance, and Regression
• Contribute to manual and automation testing based on necessity
• Build automated tests using existing Test Automation Framework
• Query and basic reporting using SQL
• Perform test runs, record test results, execute status report and communicate to appropriate audience.
• Analyze product issues as they arise, debug, and record all relevant information in a defect triaging platform.
• Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ
• Work independently on projects, where tasks are self-determined and not specifically assigned
• Be able to breakdown complex requirements and generate test data for a wide coverage
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in testing; proficiency in using test case tracking and defect management tools: solid database skills particularly with SQL
• 3+ years of testing experience
• Experience working on a test case tracking and defect management tool
• Database expertise using SQL
• Proven ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines 
• Proven solid communication collaboration and influencing skills to drive change

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automation experience using platforms such as Selenium Web driver
• Testing APIs (SOAP/REST services) using SOAPUI or Postman
• Proven ability to create/interpret XML/Json files

Indirect billable G26 net new request for the Optum Advisory India team to support an increase in project commitments like newer client project implementations requiring testing, AI initiatives, and increase in demand to match up with increase in number of BA’s and developers in the team
