As a Business Analyst on our Corporate Services Reporting, Analytics, and Data (RAD) team, you will play a pivotal role leveraging data and reporting to drive value for customers withing the Sourcing & Procurement department at UnitedHealth Group. You will work closely with Procurement team members, Corporate Services colleagues, and others across the enterprise to support the successful completion of strategic analytics, reporting, and technology projects. You’ll also turn your in-depth analysis into compelling PowerPoint slides to guide leaders in their decision making. Your analysis and reporting will be vital in our continued effort to drive value within Procurement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with a spectrum of stakeholders, understanding and translating complex business needs into actionable insight and opportunity
- Spearhead data-driven analysis, employing advanced tools like Tableau or Power BI, to inform and influence high-stakes decisions
- Innovate and employ analytical tools, making intricate data accessible and comprehensible
- Work cross-functionally, aligning with customers and tech teams to ensure flawless project execution
- Communicate and present findings, orally and visually, in a way that can be easily understood
- Candidates should be able to gather business information and synthesize it logically and analytically to communicate an effective message to leadership

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, statistical functions, charts, visualizations, formulas, import/export data) and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with SQL databases
- Proven excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
- Proven advanced attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Proven independent work ethic, complemented by a collaborative spirit
- Ability to work in a Hybrid working model with minimum three days in the Minnesota Corporate office. Flexible on day selections
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software packages such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS
- Experience with process modeling tools such as Visio
- Working experience with Jira platform
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and a knack for clear communication
- Demonstrated basic project management and organizational skills
The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
