Manager, California Health Plan Compliance Training

The California Health Plan Compliance Training team is responsible for management and oversight of health plan mandated training for clinicians, team members and contracted partners, thereby ensuring the market is in compliance with complex requirements. The key priorities for the team are determining training requirements, designing curriculum of training content, driving implementation of customer-friendly training programs, and monitoring completion and facilitating audit readiness.
The Manager, Health Plan Compliance Training, will serve as the team lead and have accountability for the development, delivery and reporting of all health plan training requirements.
This is a hybrid role, with potential for up to 2 days in clinics in greater Los Angeles/Orange county.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, delivery, and reporting of all health plan required training
- Oversee the development of comprehensive curriculum of customer-friendly training content
- Serve as primary person responsible for determining training regulatory requirements
- Create processes for identifying internal team members and contracted partners who are required to complete trainings and develop an attestation process
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and liaise with health plans as necessary
- Serve as training audit lead and work with internal teams to supply evidence
- Manage/update training documentation/training courses on multiple platforms

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in training development or program management, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting
- Experience in developing comprehensive training curricula tailored to various audiences in various modalities (virtual, in-person)
- Proven solid program management skills to lead portfolio of training and oversee implementation
- Proven ability to assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal teams across a large matrixed organization, and solid interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading audit processes and maintaining compliance documentation
- Knowledge of regulatory training standards in healthcare (e.g., CMS, HIPAA)
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools
- Clinical background
- Proficient in instructional design methodologies and learning theories
The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
