Real Time Settlement is modernizing how healthcare provider and payers adjudicate claims in a more accurate and efficient manner, reducing administrative burden throughout the claim life cycle.  This product is one of the top priorities for Optum and UHC in 2025 and will demonstrate collaboration and technical integration/innovation between the two organizations

As a Product Analyst on the Real Time Settlement Provider Applications team, you will help gather business requirements, map user journeys, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure feature delivery and completeness.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build business requirements to orchestrate provider experience workflows
  • Research provider user experience when interacting with the new real time settlement product
  • Research data attributes in the scheduling, claim, and remit workflows
  • Work closely with engineers to groom user stories for each sprint

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a product analyst, technical product manager or product manager in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Experience with project management and leading initiatives from conception to completion
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Deep knowledge of hospital and physician claim billing requirements
  • Proven solid analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
  • Proven excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with project teams and business partners to meet project objectives

Preferred Qualification:

  • Knowledge of SQL and Python

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
