We are a fast-growing company in the consumer lending space. We are looking for a web developer to enhance our web application portal. This individual would help us add features and fix issues in both our front-facing web application and back-end credit decision engine that performs loan underwriting. 

Hybrid in Lincoln NE

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop web applications in programming languages (Ruby, MySQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS) by adding new features, and fixing issues in existing applications
  • Design, implement and clearly document APIs for third party integrations and integrate with third party APIs
  • Ability to write SQL queries with joins to generate reports
  • Design database schemas and write database migrations to make changes to the database as requirements are changed and added
  • Implement web application user interfaces in HTML that work on a desktop and mobile devices
  • Knowledge of how to secure web applications from CSRF and other attacks
  • Ensure all web applications are implemented securely, and free from vulnerabilities such as cross site scripting, and SQL injection attacks
  • Ability to automate repetitive tasks such as scheduled jobs, and deployments
  • Utilize a ticket tracking system and version control to track issues and enhancements
  • Follow change management requirements as needed to ensure that changes to the system are approved by all stakeholders
  • Analyze and make recommendations to update, revise, and modernize application architecture as needed
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation documenting software and platform architecture compliance with security and privacy policies

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of web application development experience in an engineering role 
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Lincoln, NE

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
