We have an opportunity for a Workforce Management Director with a specific focus on our Impact Assessment team. As a Director – Workforce Management, you will grow and develop as you conduct and manage outcomes of various studies. You will be challenged to analyze, review, and forecast data for operational and business planning. Enabled to lead and develop workforce professionals into a high performing team. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and roll out new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Lead project management initiatives to ensure timely delivery of key objectives
- Foster team development through coaching, mentoring, and providing growth opportunities
- Lead a cross-functional team of leaders and analysts in a complex environment
- Provide strategic insight and drive tactical execution of the financial plan and multiple financial schedules
- Execute daily plans to meet Service Level Agreements and capacity needs
- Own relationships and brand promise within supported Lines of Business
- Develop workforce plans to address enterprise business needs and align staffing
- Ensure accuracy of workforce planning methods and analyze relevant metrics
- Present complex strategies to senior leadership in common language
- Manage vendor relationships for real-time accuracy of staffing and reporting
- Oversee Business Continuity Processes and Procedures
- Quickly onboard new talent and foster team development
- Lead innovative, metric-driven processes/projects to drive excellence
- Manage cross-functional interdependencies and multiple priorities
- Be a solid change agent and anticipate customer needs

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in service operations center, call center or Workforce Management
- 10+ years of experience in goal creation and building high performance work teams
- 8+ years of experience with Workforce Management software (such as IEX, Alvaria, Blue Pumpkin)
- 8+ years of experience leading or managing projects
- 8+ years of experience driving financial plans/outcomes
- 8+ years of experience of setting expectations and managing vendor (on and offshore) partnerships
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in systems administration or reporting
- Proven advanced understanding of Excel
- Proven track record of identifying defects and process variation, and working to improve processes and reduce defects
- Experience scheduling, conducting planning meetings, and managing capacity
- Health care industry experience
- Experience with Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean techniques
Demonstrated Skills:
- Ability to assess and build talent into high performing work teams
- Effectively coach providing feedback to direct and indirect reports that help develop talent support career development
- Describe the strategic importance of workforce management’s vision inside and outside of the team
- Expert ability to understand complex patterns and communicate their impact quickly and effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Solid ability to influence/negotiate
- Bias toward action
- Expert project management skills that enable quick identification of immediate and future impacts
- Ability to navigate through a complex network of simultaneous projects, financial task/pressures, technical/efficiency improvements, and employee engagement

The salary range for this role is $124,500 to $239,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
