The Provider Digital Connectivity leader will be responsible for helping pave the way of how we digitally connect with providers and third-party organizations leveraging new technology and interoperability solutions to streamline how we work with one another. This position will work across key internal business partners within UnitedHealthcare and Optum, as well as, external providers, third-party organizations, and key trade organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads highly skilled and professional team responsible for connecting external providers and third-party vendors to our interoperability solutions and supporting the build out of workflow solutions to help reduce the cost of doing business and improve the provider experience
- Build an enterprise strategy across UnitedHealth Group to achieve over 2 billion digital transactions per year leveraging newly developed provider digital interoperability solutions
- Develops strong relationships with our third-party vendors including Practice Management Systems and Revenue Cycle Management organizations to enhance our connectivity solutions and leverage these organizations to influence practice behaviors with their clientele
- Share feedback collected with our providers and third-party vendors with our Provider Digital and Transformation and Information Technology teams to help address technological gaps and evolve future functionality
- Leverage industry trade organizations and conferences to promote our interoperability solutions and share the value these organizations will realize by connecting to these digital capabilities
- Partner with our Provider Marketing and Communications team to help create the key messages that are resonating with providers with the goal to generate future leads to connect to our digital solutions
- Facilitate sessions with providers and third-party organizations to co-design future digital solutions that will simplify how providers work with UnitedHealthcare
- Lead and develop a high-performing, management team with accountability that emphasizes people and performance management, coaching and development, and employee engagement

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Management, Business or an equivalent field of study
- 10+ years of operations experience successfully managing a variety of departments
- 10+ years of experience working in the healthcare field preferably in both the provider and payer settings
- Experience and aptitude to effectively communicate and influence senior level leaders internal to UHG and with large external hospital systems and physician groups
- Demonstrated experience in developing business plans and roadmaps to successfully partner with internal and external business partners
- Proven documented expertise in strategy development, operational management, and business leadership
- Proven solid interpersonal skills with ability to interface effectively both externally and internally with a wide range of people including physicians, executives, office staff and other health plan staff
- Proven ability to effectively drive results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with a high degree of organizational change, growth and ambiguity
- Proven solid leader and motivator with the ability to mentor talent within the organization, able to provide work direction and to attract and retain top talent
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence executive level stakeholders to determine business strategy and develop and execute big ideas, while maintaining collaborative working relationships
- Proven passion for transforming provider and vendor relationships, strong program management skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple matrixed shared services and external partners.
- Proven success of developing a vision and implementing the strategies and tactics to execute in a highly matrixed environment
- Proven ability to proactively and quickly recognize and assess reputational opportunities and issues, effectively communicating both the implications of the issue at hand and a clear path forward to executive stakeholders and team members
- Proven outstanding written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prepare high-quality, time-sensitive internal and external deliverables
- Proven impeccable personal character and high integrity – able to represent the company with the highest standards of professionalism in internal and external settings

- Demonstrated ability to quantify, articulate, and be accountable for value delivery
- Proven outstanding written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prepare high-quality, time-sensitive internal and external deliverables

The salary range for this role is $150,200 to $288,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
