Enterprise System Operating Controls (ESOC) is an Enterprise wise Initiative to assess and build controls for interactions between Applications. In this project we would assess interactions between applications and build controls wherever required and monitor them. Currently 200+ critical applications in the organization use our services and the engagements have proven to be very helpful in preventing High Impact Quality Incidents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform independently System Operating Controls Assessment for various interactions of the applications using a pre-defined Control Check list and identify Gaps/propose recommended controls
  • Work with applications teams to design controls required to remediate the Gaps & Configure the controls in the home-grown applications and test the controls
  • Research complex production issues occurred in applications and suggest preventive/reactive controls
  • Act as Liaison between business/application teams and internal other ESOC teams ( DevOps, Testing etc.)
  • Create and own various requirement artifacts – Interaction Details Worksheet ( IDW), SACD, DFD, Policy & Procedure documents ,User Stories, User Manual, Business Workflows, Screen mockups/prototypes and present the findings/recommendations to application teams/customers
  • Gather and prepare analysis based on information from internal and external sources to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Research new solutions, suggest business improvements
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 9+ years of experience in IT performing developer or Systems analyst role
  • Working experience of writing SQLs in multiple database environments – RDBMs, integration tech (API, Kafka, FTP, MQ, CDC, ETL, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding in any technology (Mainframe or Unix or Java or RDBMs etc.) and having worked in multiple application eco system and various interaction mechanisms (API, Kafka, SFTP, CDC, ETL etc.)
  • Flexibility in schedule to work with US teammates and customer SMEs; Superior communication skills
