This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at BronxCare Health 1650 Grand Concourse 14th Floor Bronx, NY 10457.

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationship with client.
  • Work onsite at client location collaborating with providers, client personnel and patients.
  • Obtain precertification’s, authorizations and other referrals as assigned.
  • Meet with patients to discuss billing questions, collection TOS and other outstanding balances.
  • Validate insurance and other billing information.
  • Identify any problems/trends and communicate them to management for resolution.
  • Make appropriate calls to carriers to maximize reimbursement on accounts to be worked.
  • Meet current production, utilization, and quality standards.
  • Participates in trainings/meetings as required.
  • Presenting data to appropriate parties and partnering to develop resolutions.
  • Ability to take and make patient phone calls and assist client front desk operations when business needs arise.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR Older
  • 1+ years of experience in Customer Service
  • Ability to work onsite at BronxCare Health, 1650 Grand Concourse, Bronx NY 10457
  • Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Revenue cycle experience
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook

 

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $24.23 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
