About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Medical Coding to lead a team of professional coders and/or supervisors. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate medical coding practices, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence in clinical documentation and coding processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of medical coding professionals
- Set team direction, resolve issues, and provide strategic guidance
- Adapt departmental plans to meet evolving business needs
- Influence planning and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Oversee coding audits and quality assurance processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve coding accuracy and efficiency
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: Proven experience in medical coding and team management
Preferred Qualification:
- Certifications: Relevant coding certifications (e.g., CPC, CCS)
