Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Cardiology Laboratory Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location; therefore performance of venous, and/or arterial studies or participation in vein clinic theopoetic procedures will be required depending on the assigned Clinic site. The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize a Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS). May be assigned to other duties, technical or nontechnical if training, experience and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor to perform those duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • RVT or RVS; BCLS certification
  • 2+ years of direct clinical experience in vascular sonography Ultrasound with 1+ years cumulative in venous sonography
  • Radiofrequency vein ablations, other therapeutic vein agents and procedures
  • GE Ultrasound and Parks Flo Lab equipment familiarity
  • Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience
  • Ability to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor or the Cardiology Lab Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in related healthcare field; Bachelor’s degree in related health field
  • PACS and RIS experience; Speaks an additional language
  • Proven good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.27 to $50.48 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
