The Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator will be working with facilities and clinical case managers on retrieving NOMNC documents. Positions in this function also include those responsible for initial triage of members, administrative intake of members or managing the admission / discharge information post – notification, working with hospitals and the clinical team. Includes managing outbound calls, managing requests for services from providers / members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff. Manages the referrals process, processes incoming and outgoing referrals.

This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm CST. It may be necessary to work outside standard hours of operations due to changing business needs.

We offer 2 – 4 weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert in NOMNC Retrieval Process
  • Retrieving and forwarding faxes
  • Outbound calls and faxes to facilities to obtain confirmation of NOMNC signatures
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Assist in training and mentoring new and existing staff
  • Follow department specific SOPs and Job Aids for data entry and workflow consistency
  • Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and completes work to meet established objectives
  • Solves moderately complex problems on own
  • Meets expected quality and productivity standards
  • Adhere to all regulatory and contractual guidelines and turn – around times
  • Additional responsibilities as identified by leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience with working in the healthcare field OR with health plans
  • Medical terminology experience
  • Intermediate Doc360 and Microsoft Office skills: Microsoft Word (ability to create documents and complete mail merging), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook (ability to manage email, calendar, and task lists)
  • Ability to work any of our full time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm CST from Monday – Friday
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours of operations due to changing business needs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of knowledge / experience with Community & State and Medicare products

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Must have a quiet designated workspace and access to install secure high speed internet (minimum speed 1.5 download mps and 1 upload mps) via cable / DSL in home (NOTE: wireless / cell phone provider, satellite, microwave, etc. does NOT meet this requirement)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.38 – $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
