Data Engineering Lead – Azure/AWS, Devops, Python Scripting

Primary Responsibilities:
- Cloud Platform Enablement
- Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP to support deployments, automation, and data workflows
- Utilize cloud-native services like:
- Object storage
- Managed relational databases
- Compute engines and containers
- IAM and networking basics
- Contribute to migrating on-premises databases and workloads to cloud platforms
- Automation Engineering (Python & Scripting)
- Develop automation workflows and scripts using Python to streamline operational tasks, data processing, and system integrations
- Integrate database operations with DevOps pipelines using Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform/ARM Templates, and Ansible
- Automate database provisioning, patching, monitoring, and performance diagnostics using Python, Shell/Bash, PowerShell, and PL/SQL
- Implement IaC (Infrastructure-as-Code) for repeatable, consistent deployments
- Oracle Database Operations
- Perform essential Oracle DB operations such as:
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Index and space management
- Backup/restore operations
- Security, user access, and roles administration
- Support deployments, upgrades, and migration activities across environments
- Troubleshoot production incidents and ensure minimal downtime
- Perform essential Oracle DB operations such as:
- Database Engineering & Optimization
- Design, develop, and optimize database logic including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and advanced SQL queries
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of complex SQL workloads
- Build efficient data models, schemas, and structures for large-scale applications
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and consistency of database environments
- AI & AIOps Enablement
- Leverage AI-driven tools for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, capacity forecasting, and intelligent alerting
- Utilize Oracle Autonomous Database capabilities and Azure AI services for proactive performance insights
- Collaboration & Process Ownership
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, application developers, and product owners
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies-estimations, sprint planning, retrospectives
- Prepare technical documentation, workflows, automation guidelines, and best practices
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Technical Expertise
- Solid experience in Cloud platform, Python development, focusing on automation and backend workflows
- Hands-on knowledge of Oracle database operations and tuning
- Command of advanced SQL and database programming
- Familiarity with database observability tools and frameworks
- Good understanding of at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Additional Competencies

- Proven solid communication and documentation abilities
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality outputs
