It is a key position within the Optum Technology IT Group. The Network Analyst functions as a project team member within the Network Services Group. This position leads Network Services related projects across all Optum and UnitedHealth Group.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overall accountability for project execution for assigned projects within the Optum Technology IT Group for Network Services
- Drive deliverables to meet project deadlines / milestones
- Track and update project plans and documentation
- Identify and report issues with the project. Mitigate identified issues
- Engage resources (management, service vendors, business segment leads, etc.) for project assignments
- Single point of contact for all project IT vendors/providers
- Determine requirements through interface with customer, corporate real estate and adherence to corporate standards
- Create and submit engagement documentation for voice/data network, cabling, and server infrastructure
- Interface with construction trades as necessary to ensure MDF/IDF construction to UHG design standards
- Document weekly status reports including project progress, key milestones, and tasks accomplished, etc. Host weekly status call with project team
- Work within Optum Technology IT Group processes for equipment and services procurement
- Perform Optum Technology IT Group’s change management procedures to create, submit, and coordinate various change requests associated with Optum Technology IT Group Network Services current and future projects
- Work with Optum Technology IT Group data/voice/security/server engineers to determine equipment and circuit equipment specifications
- Work with supply chain management for equipment and circuit orders
- Working with limited direction from the Program Leads, lead a matrixed team of software developer, data analyst, infrastructure technologists to successfully deliver multiple concurrent infrastructure changes in a large-scale enterprise environment
- Meet customer and project objectives by developing and managing project execution functions including planning, tracking, reporting, reviews, quality management and communications, risks, and issues within the construct of the Technology Delivery Framework
- Predict, understand, and document customer needs and develops innovative solutions to meet them
- Manage project schedules, resources, and delivery commitments
- Delegate, integrate activities, and resolve conflicts
- Complete assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
- Develop and maintain infrastructure and resource cost estimates
- Be able to work the following shift timing: 3:30 pm to 1 am
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Engineering Graduate or Masters in IT/CS
- 10+ years of experience across multiple information systems disciplines demonstrating solid technical acumen and infrastructure technology experience
- 5+ years of Agile methodology and delivery experience
- 5+ years of Technology-based Project Management experience
- 5+ years of Project or Program Management experience integrating multiple business areas or systems
- Solid project management and planning skills including experience in successfully managing major projects with use of and adherence to structured methodologies
- Proven experience managing multiple, concurrent IT projects/programs
- Proven experience with budget tracking and complex cost benefit analysis
- High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management
- Proven ability to work with a sense of urgency and ability to use considerable judgment to determine solutions, necessary escalations and to seek guidance on complex problems
- Proven excellent judgment, analytical ability, and problem analysis techniques
- Proven adaptability; self-starter; team player; quality minded; focused; committed; able to work independently
- Proven ability to perform in a high-pressured environment
- Proven ability to provide solid leadership presence
Preferred Qualifications:
- CSM/PSM Certification
- SAFe Certification
- KMP1 / KMP2 Certification
- PMP / PMI-ACP Certification
- DEVOps Certification
- Experience using productivity tools including CA Clarity, Rally, and Service Now
- Professional Services, consulting, or Big 5 Project management experience
- Infrastructure technology experience such as server, network, security and data center infrastructure, for application, middleware, database and web environments
- UnitedHealth Group or subsidiary work experience
- Healthcare technology background
- Exposure to multiple project management methodologies
