The Medical Assistant provides clinical support to physicians and other clinical staff.  The MA assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of physician. The MA ensures that the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Patient Care:

  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information in patient records
  • Maintain patient flow
  • Perform phlebotomies as needed
  • Prepare specimens and test requests and forwards to lab; ensure tests and charges are recorded in EMR
  • Perform EKGs
  • Administer immunizations and perform simple procedures as directed by physician or supervisor

Clinical Maintenance:

  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Maintain the clinical environment:  Cleans, stocks all patient care areas and cleans instruments daily
  • Submit supply orders to Lead MA or Nurse Manager
  • Maintain cleaning schedule log per OSHA plan
  • Monitor hazardous waste pickup
  • Assist in keeping refrigerators clean
  • Works with front desk to ensure patient flow

Required Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of experience in medical office and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BCLS
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant Program
  • CNA Certification
  • CMA or RMA Certification

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
