The Medical Scribe will work under the direction of the Operations Manager and support the providers who are dictating for you to transcribe and input the documentation of patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). As a medical scribe, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the transcription you are doing for the providers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs provider documentation of patient information as spoken by a provider in a legible and clear manner, following all established local, state and federal guidelines for documentation and billing
- Demonstrates skill in documenting and maintaining patient care records in a complete and thorough manner
- Ensures that all documentation follows scribe policies and procedures
- Follows established medical record requirements
- Completes all documentation real time and within the same date of service
- Assigns dictation to provider when chart is complete and ready for review and sign off
- Clarifies and corrects any documentation under the direction of the provider
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a Medical Office setting
- Experience with medical terminology
- Experience with computerized information systems (EMR) used in business and clinical management settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed medical training specific to medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
- 2+ years clinical experience in related field as a scribe
- Experience documenting patient information into an electronic medical record, EMR/EHR
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
