The individual will work closely with team members, operations, and other subject matter experts to identify quality and patient safety opportunities requiring improvement. Expectations for the candidate in this role include:
- Serving as a subject matter expert in quality and patient safety science principles
- Supporting the training of junior team members and
- Providing as a clinical quality expert in all applicable meetings
This individual will be seen as a leader to their junior peers and can drive clinical improvement recommendations to operational areas. This individual will be responsible for providing feedback to the pharmacies on high-risk areas and alerting leadership of any trends identified. This position will provide direct coaching opportunities to improve pharmacist and nurse actions through the appropriate quality tools and communication methods. The candidate for this role must be willing to learn and keep abreast of the complex and evolving pharmacy and infusion world. Clinical Analysts are the most senior subject matter experts (SMEs). This role requires exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving skills and is self-directed.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Review clinical quality related events, determine root cause, and complete the narrative consistent to team approach
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and investigation and categorize events based on state & regulatory pharmacy law
- Provide feedback for clinical coaching within operations
- Provide feedback for various levels of clinical and non-clinical leadership on incident trends
- Effectively communicate (written and spoken) to all levels of the organization
- Provide recommendations to operations for the improvement of service delivery and patient experience
- Engage with multidisciplinary departments to lead and / or assist in quality improvement projects (QIP) and Correction and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

Years of post-high school education related to Patient Safety and Quality can be substituted/is equivalent to years of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Pharmacist or Nursing License
- 2+ years healthcare quality control & assurance experience
- 2+ years minimum demonstrated experience using root cause analysis / problem solving
- 2+ years of experience in a matrixed organization
- Experience working on quality improvement projects (QIP) and Correction and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Experience organizing quality data in appropriate reporting format
- Experience investigating, analyzing, synthesizing, and formulating conclusions
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
- CPHQ, CPPS, or other relevant certifications
- Clinical Pharmacist OR Nursing experience within an Infusion focused pharmacy
- CPR+, CareLink (or other pharmacy prescription processing) system experience
- URAC or other accreditations knowledge

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
