This position is Onsite. Our office is located at 550 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308 and Emory Decatur Hospital, 2701 N Decatur Rd Decatur, GA 30033

This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.  

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will need to be able to travel to different Emory locations to pick up claims for processing, scanning into computer.
  • Responsible for data entry of material from source documents to a computer - connected terminal
  • May operate an alphabetical / numerical keypunch machine
  • Verifies data and performs clerical tasks in the data processing function
  • Examines, revises, approves and dispatches input and output materials according to established specifications
  • Works on assignments that are semi - routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments
  • Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required
  • Meet productivity standards as outlined in client metrics
  • Identify any issues or trends and bring them to the attention of management team
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • Must have valid driver's license and proof of insurance 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of data entry experience 
  • Experience with using Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort, filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Ability to work three days per week at 550 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308 and two days per week at Emory Decatur Hospital, 2701 N Decatur Rd Decatur, GA 30033
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to local healthcare facilities (typically within a 45 minute radius, with some locations closer) to collect completed medical applications, as business needs require.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of healthcare experience
  • Experience with utilizing EPIC, Cerner, OR other hospital applications
  • Medical billing OR claims experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $25.05 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
