The Provider Communications Program Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of provider communications initiatives across Optum Health Networks. This role is responsible for managing workflows, tracking deliverables, coordinating stakeholder dependencies, and maintaining visibility into communications activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of provider-facing communications.

This role will help ensure communication initiatives are organized, coordinated, and delivered efficiently while supporting cross-functional alignment across Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Market teams.

This role supports a high-volume provider communications function responsible for delivering more than 1,300 communications annually across email, portal, web, print, and enterprise initiatives, helping ensure timely delivery of provider-facing communications and supporting operational readiness across Optum Health Networks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communication requests, workflows, timelines, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
  • Maintain communication calendars, project plans, intake tracking tools, and status reporting
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and support communication planning efforts
  • Track dependencies, risks, and project milestones and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination among Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Market teams
  • Support implementation and maintenance of communication processes, standards, and governance practices
  • Monitor workload and communication volume to support operational planning and resource allocation
  • Prepare status updates, dashboards, and leadership reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and reduce rework
  • Manage intake tracking and workload management processes to improve visibility into communication demand and resource planning

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project coordination, program management, communications operations, or related experience
  • Experience supporting multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and collaborating across functional teams
  • Experience managing projects and workflows using Kanban boards, work management platforms, or equivalent project-tracking methodologies
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, pivot tables, and workload tracking
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare, payer, provider, or related industry experience
  • Experience supporting communications, marketing, operations, or business programs
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational dashboards and workload reporting.
  • Experience using project management and workflow management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Planner, Trello, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting communication, marketing, or operational programs with high-volume, deadline-driven deliverables
  • Experience creating dashboards and reporting in Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
  • Proven solid analytical and reporting skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
