DevOps Engineer - Airflow Admin

Primary Responsibilities:

• Adept in learning new technologies such as Apache Airflow to support project needs
• Project development work experience on various platforms
• Document success criteria and monitor solution effectiveness, including system performance and other key metrics
• Provide technical leadership to our clients
• Collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
• Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives
• Facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features
• Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions and follow the exception/waiver process as needed
• Maintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of each
• Use enterprise-approved AI tools to accelerate investigation of platform issues with human validation before execution
• Airflow Infrastructure Administration:
  • Participate in Airflow architecture design needed to support projects per requirements
  • Procure/configure servers and metadata DB
  • Install and configure RabbitMQ
  • Install and support binaries for Airflow
  • Create and support Directory structures and libraries as per standards
  • Create start/stop scripts for webserver configuration scripts
  • Support Python modules after deployment

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with Airflow Admin
• 3+ years of proven Unix/Window Administration experience
• Experience working with Kubernetes and managing Kubernetes Clusters
• Experience using enterprise-approved AI assistants/tools to improve operational workflows (e.g.,incident triage, documentation, troubleshooting) with appropriate human review
• Kubernetes Cluster Administration
• Knowledge of, or experience with traditional command line scripting languages
• Solid System Administration capabilities on Windows/Linux/AIX Operation Systems
• Software packaging and deployment tools such as rpm/deb/aix-tools/.tgz/make etc.
• Proven skills on Python
• Proven advanced communication skills both verbal and written
• Proven ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven quick learning agility, resourceful, self-motivated, and works independently
• Proven excellent teamwork skills
• Proven excellent customer service skills
• Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages - Shell & Python
• Experience creating automation that incorporates AI-assisted summarization/classification (e.g., ticket routing suggestions, incident summary drafts), with controls and human approval gates
• Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Knowledge of Agile project Methodologies
• Knowledge of, or experience with ServiceNow
• Proven to be detail oriented
