Quality Engineering Lead - Selenium, Java, Cucumber

Primary Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Strategy:
  • Assist in the development of test plans, cases, and scripts based on product requirements
  • Contribute to the implementation of test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
  • Support QA strategy development and participate in product roadmap planning
• Test Execution:
  • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software quality
  • Perform regression testing and manual testing as needed
  • *Defect Management:
  • Identify, document, and track defects
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to resolve issues
  • Monitor QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts
• Automation:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java
  • Assist in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, or using GitHub Actions
  • Support test case automation activities during development and post-production
• Performance Testing:
  • Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks
  • Analyze test results for performance optimization
• Documentation:
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of test procedures and results
  • Present test reports and metrics to stakeholders as needed
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
  • Review customer requirements to ensure proper test coverage
  • Communicate QA strategies and outcomes to project teams
• Quality Standards and Best Practices:
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry best practices
  • Support continuous improvement of testing processes and tools
  • Configure testing environments for executing test cases

  • Contribute to QA process and tool development

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or using GitHub Actions
• Experience using GitHub Copilot to enhance development and testing workflows
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Familiarity with file transfer management using SFTP clients and servers
• Familiarity with integrating AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) within IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ, and testing frameworks like Junit
• Proficient in Selenium and Cucumber for automated testing
• Proven exposure to AI prompting with Microsoft Copilot; AI User
  Technical Skills
• Proven solid command of Java, including multi-threading and load testing
• Proven skilled in building test frameworks for UI and API using Serenity, JUnit, and TestNG
• Proven analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Proven solid analytical capabilities for identifying issues and proposing solutions
• Proven excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven collaborative team player in cross-functional environments
• Proven detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Proven capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently
