We are seeking a Senior Systems Management Consultant to serve as an AI-forward DevOps Engineer strengthening our offshore support model for PLM, middleware, and broader E&I support functions. This role provides network and systems analysis, design, and integration services across the technology stack, working in close partnership with onshore engineering leadership to automate, monitor, and continuously improve the availability and reliability of business-critical applications. The engineer will leverage modern DevOps tooling and AI-assisted automation to reduce manual toil, accelerate delivery, and scale offshore engineering capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and deploy infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible and Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and environment management
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, repeatable, and automated software delivery
- Administer, tune, and support JBoss and WebSphere application server environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security
- Apply AI-assisted tooling and automation to streamline offshore support workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve mean-time-to-resolution across the middleware and PLM stack
- Lead resolution of incidents and problems (ITSM Incident & Problem Management) - navigating tools and processes, correlating symptoms to root cause, and developing durable solutions
- Plan and coordinate changes with the business (ITSM Change Management), including scheduling, implementation, check-out, and validation
- Monitor system performance and availability; analyze data to forecast capacity needs, then recommend, test, and implement solutions to address them
- Identify, apply, and monitor applicable security/data standards; ensure assigned systems adhere to recommended security settings and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain technical/knowledge documentation; identify and translate end-user requirements into engineering work
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Administration experience with JBoss and WebSphere application servers
- Experience leading incident and problem resolution in an ITSM environment
- Working knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, and middleware to ensure optimal performance and security
- Proven ability to work across multiple platforms and the full business/technology stack independently, serving as an escalation point for complex issues
- Proven background supporting PLM and/or middleware platforms in an enterprise environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying AI/ML tooling or AI-assisted automation to operations or support workflows
- Experience operating within a follow-the-sun / offshore support model
- Windows server and RHEL administration
