Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and own scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Define system architecture, microservices patterns, and API contracts. Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices. Implement core business logic with clean, maintainable, and testable code. Ensure adherence to coding standards, secure coding practices, and best practices
• Optimize performance using caching, asynchronous processing, and efficient algorithms
• Conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards across the team
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. Develop producers and consumers for real-time data processing. Ensure message reliability, ordering, and fault tolerance. Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka pipelines and lag issues
• Design and deploy applications on Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, etc.). Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Manage cloud infrastructure, scaling, and cost optimization
• Ensure security, monitoring, and logging using Azure-native tools (e.g., App Insights)
• Act as a technical mentor and coach for team members. Conduct pair programming, knowledge-sharing sessions, and code walkthroughs Guide engineers on design principles, debugging, and best practices
• Support career growth through feedback, training, and skill development. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to production. Break down requirements into technical tasks and sprint deliverables. Work closely with product managers, QA, and stakeholders. Ensure timely delivery with high quality. Manage risks, dependencies, and technical debt
• Ensure high test coverage using: Unit tests (JUnit, Mockito), Integration tests
• Drive adoption of development, testing and deployment pipelines. Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• Leverage AI tools for AIDLC for softwares
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Experience working in agile/scrum environments
• Experience designing scalable and resilient systems
• Experience building real-time data streaming pipelines
• Experience with deployment, monitoring, and scaling in cloud
• Experience leading cross-functional teams 
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-grade applications
• Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers
• Proven ability to conduct code reviews and design discussions
• Proven solid technical decision-making and problem-solving skills
