The Senior Data Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for the strategy, design, development, and continuous improvement of Omni reporting products that measure and help improve consumer, member, and advocate experiences.

This role combines advanced analytics, technical delivery, business partnership, and functional leadership to produce trusted reporting and actionable insights for operational, product, and executive decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst independently leads complex analytics work, anticipates stakeholder needs, translates ambiguous business challenges into scalable solutions, and ensures reporting products are accurate, governed, reusable, and aligned with Consumer Experience Reporting priorities.

Working within the Experience Analytics & Reporting organization, this position partners with product owners, operational leaders, data and engineering teams, and business stakeholders to establish measurement strategies, prioritize reporting capabilities, and deliver sustainable analytics products. The role also provides leadership through influence by mentoring analysts, reviewing analytical work, strengthening team standards, and advancing self-service and AI-enabled analytics capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analytics Ownership and Strategy
  • Own complex reporting and analytics initiatives from problem definition and requirements discovery through development, implementation, adoption, and ongoing enhancement
  • Partner with product owners, operational leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to define measurement strategies, prioritize capabilities, and align reporting roadmaps with objectives for business and consumer experience
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively recommend scalable analytics solutions for complex, ambiguous, or high-impact business challenges
  • Define success measures and evaluate product usage, reporting effectiveness, and business impact to guide future enhancements and investment
  • Balance immediate reporting needs with long-term product sustainability, enterprise standards, and strategic reporting priorities
• Executive Reporting and Storytelling
  • Develop executive-ready dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and performance narratives that communicate trends, drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
  • Synthesize complex, multi-source data into clear and compelling insights for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Present analytical findings, assumptions, limitations, and recommendations to operational, product, and senior leadership stakeholders
  • Apply effective visualization and storytelling practices to connect performance measures with member experience, operational outcomes, and business priorities
• Data Modeling, Reporting, and Technical Delivery
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data models, semantic layers, analytical datasets, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting products using governed enterprise data
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics solutions using SQL and platforms such as Power BI, Intelligence Studio, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, or comparable technologies
  • Translate business requirements into clear data specifications, reporting logic, calculations, acceptance criteria, and sustainable technical solutions
  • Partner with engineering, data management, architecture, and analytics teams to improve data availability, pipeline reliability, performance, and usability
  • Build reusable reporting components and analytical frameworks that reduce duplication, improve consistency, and support enterprise-scale reporting
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend practical solutions that balance performance, usability, maintainability, governance, and delivery timelines
• Metric Governance and Data Quality
  • Establish and maintain metric definitions, business rules, calculation methodologies, and reporting standards across Omni reporting products
  • Lead data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and quality assurance activities for complex or business-critical reporting
  • Identify data anomalies, assess business impact, coordinate resolution, and communicate risks or limitations to stakeholders
  • Maintain clear documentation covering data sources, transformations, assumptions, business logic, validation controls, dependencies, and known limitations
  • Review analytical work for accuracy, completeness, clarity, consistency, and alignment with established standards; provide actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Support enterprise efforts to standardize measurement practices, strengthen data stewardship, and retire redundant or low-value reporting
• Continuous Improvement and Functional Leadership
  • Identify and lead opportunities to automate recurring reporting, streamline workflows, strengthen preventive quality controls, and improve delivery efficiency
  • Advance self-service analytics by developing governed, intuitive reporting products and enabling users to interpret and apply insights appropriately
  • Evaluate AI-enabled and emerging analytics capabilities that can improve insight generation, usability, efficiency, or decision support
  • Lead functional analytics projects, estimate effort, coordinate dependencies, manage delivery risks, and communicate progress and decisions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter resource on reporting strategy, analytics practices, visualization, metric governance, and data quality
  • Mentor analysts, share technical and business knowledge, and promote consistent analytical, documentation, and quality practices across the team

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data visualization, or a related analytical discipline
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including experience querying, transforming, validating, reconciling, and analyzing large or complex datasets
• Experience working with enterprise or cloud-based analytical platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable environments
• Experience developing dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, or analytical reporting products using Power BI, Intelligence Studio, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools
• Experience translating complex business requirements into scalable reporting, data, or analytics solutions
• Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, quality assurance, root-cause analysis, and documentation of reporting logic
• Experience collaborating across product, operations, analytics, data management, and technology teams
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, product delivery, or comparable iterative delivery frameworks
• Demonstrated analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently resolve complex or ambiguous issues
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts, analytical findings, limitations, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate dependencies, and deliver high-quality work with limited direction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting healthcare, health plan, consumer experience, member experience, customer service, contact center, or operations analytics
• Experience developing executive reporting, scorecards, performance measurement frameworks, or decision-support products
• Experience defining or governing enterprise metrics, key performance indicators, data dictionaries, or reporting standards
• Experience with data stewardship, metadata, lineage, semantic modeling, or governed analytical datasets
• Experience developing or supporting self-service analytics capabilities and measuring user adoption
• Experience with advanced analytics, automation, AI-enabled reporting, conversational analytics, or emerging business intelligence technologies
• Experience improving reporting processes through automation, standardization, reusable components, or preventive data quality controls
• Experience mentoring analysts, reviewing analytical work, leading functional projects, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
• Experience applying product-management principles to reporting or analytics products

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
