The Junior Account Manager Support Specialist (AMSS) role ensures Veterans' Medical Disability Examination orders are being processed in a timely manner. AMSS must identify and report any order processing issues that may arise with a Veteran, Order, and/or location to leadership as well as Sr. AMSS staff as needed. 

This position is full time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules between our normal business hours of 4:00 am - 8:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. 

We offer 6 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:00 am - 3:30 pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work priorities as assigned by leadership and provide regular operational updates to the SR Account Manager Support Specialist on the state of each area of responsibility
  • Complete job tasks and functions on time to keep the order completion process on track
  • Assist in making decisions based on contract requirements and guidelines in order to ensure contract KPIs are achieved
  • Provide direction to other operational areas in order to ensure efficient order processing
  • Provide operational updates to Leadership as well as Senior Account Manager Support Specialist on the status of tasking/orders
  • Notify Leadership of issues that arise regarding tasking, other operational departments, and database
  • Ensure timely communication of process issues / changes to Leadership
  • Assist leadership in identifying operational delays as they relate to the other Operational Departments within OSHS
  • Assist other departments within OSHS to ensure contractual obligations are achieved

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook)
  • Ability to work full-time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 4:00 am - 8:00 pm CST, Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of database structures and relationships
  • Ability to research and document issues before reporting them to leadership
  • Analytical and problem solving skills with regards to operational documentation policies
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Military Service

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities as well as work in a fast paced, action oriented environment
  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication to ensure understanding on all levels of the business

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 - $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
