For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

This role is responsible for all aspects of financial analytics, planning, and reporting in support of our Account Management teams and the clients they manage.
Responsibilities include reporting and analysis to business and finance leadership with a dotted line support to Account management leadership; presents findings and recommendations to management.
This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm local time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be based on your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide primary financial support for one or more OptumRx business division and its leaders
- Create and maintain a tight alignment with the pricing team and become active participants in understanding client renewal cycles and the overall financial drivers and implications to their renewals or market checks.
- Understand and influence ability to manage client discount guarantee performance, and seek to make timely changes with the contract management team.
- Create analytics which will turn insights into action, driving improved client financial performance.
- Participate in client strategy discussions to seek opportunities for increased performance.
- Develop deep knowledge of the client's unique plan designs and analyze volume, revenue, and margin across all OptumRx channels (retail, home delivery, Specialty). Anticipate profitability changes as client plan designs change, and react quickly to unusual trends.
- Develop understanding of monthly trends for margin channels to the extent that fluctuations impacted specific client financials.
- Interface with business leaders and build relationships in support of financial planning and performance measurement including reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist in managing business relationships on behalf of the broader Finance organization and Leadership
- Leverage technology and carry out process improvement activities

Required Qualifications:
- BA / BS Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience
- Experience with MS Office Suite, and other technology tools
- Progressive financial work experience
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (pivots, formulas, summarization skills)

Preferred Qualifications:
- PBM experience
- Project management or process improvement experience
- Healthcare experience
- Hyperion Essbase and/or Power BI
- Proficient skills with SQL
- Tableau experience
- CRM experience (Salesforce, etc.)

- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
