In this position you will be responsible for managing, implementing, and executing on at least one key project throughout Optum Utah. This position requires a unique skill set that includes leading cross-functional teams on complex projects, collaborating vertically and horizontally throughout the organization, understanding workflow, and creating a collaborative environment to work effectively throughout the organization to ensure alignment of strategy and approach. The individual in this position coordinates with Optum Leadership Team, project managers, program managers, training teams, and other stakeholders to ensure all goals and objectives are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate Student currently enrolled in an MHA/MBA program. Must have completed first year of program
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets, and making data-driven analytical decision 
  • Basic level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely 
  • Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills as well as the ability to balance multiple priorities 
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Hybrid (3 days in office and 2 days remote work from home)

Hours: 40 hours per week


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $30.00 to $60.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
