Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates clinical excellence and collaboration by sharing in a team culture that practices integrity and compassion to support innovative and performance-driven results
- Solid therapeutics knowledge with ability to interpret medical literature, clinical practice guidelines, competitive intelligence, industry and market trends to devise strategies for drug coverage policies for all lines of business (Commercial, Med D, Medicaid and Exchange)
- Exhibit exemplary clinical and ethical practices to ensure principles for utilization management strategies maintain fair access to coverage
- Ability to work with payers and translate custom drug coverage requests into coverage policies that algin to the plan's pharmacy and medical benefits
- Awareness of regulations (including Medicare Part D) that apply to utilization management programs and coverage requirements
- Serve as a utilization management subject matter expert (SME) in workgroups with key stakeholders including Operations, Account Management, Industry Relations and other projects requiring knowledge of UM practices
- Experience supporting clinical content for prior authorization programs with solid understanding of utilization management practices
- Contribute to the identification of relevant success metrics for UM performance
- Utilize critical thinking skills to gather and analyze information from various sources to draw conclusions and provide sound recommendations
- Exhibit solid organization skills and ability to meet established deadlines

Required Qualifications:
- PharmD or bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Current pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Proven experience working as a clinical pharmacist
- Proven experience in Managed Care, PBM, Clinical Program Development, or Clinical Program Management environments
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and Windows-based environments
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook and conduct internet-based research
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience completing a pharmacy residency program
- Demonstrated proficiency in drug information research and related practices
- Proven experience developing utilization management coverage policies and/or supporting formulary management initiatives
