Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, enhance, and maintain actuarial pricing, rating, and compliance tools that support UHC new business and renewal workflows across medical and supplemental health products
- Support and modernize actuarial studies and pricing analyses by improving data pipelines, model inputs and outputs, and system integrations to enable faster, repeatable, and reproducible results
- Analyze claims experience and financial performance to inform actuarial studies, model assumptions, and structural improvements to pricing and risk assessment methodologies
- Develop and implement predictive and analytical models to support forecasting of claim events, persistency, and experience trends used in pricing and compliance tools
- Partner closely with underwriting, product, actuarial, and technology stakeholders to translate actuarial requirements into durable, well governed tool capabilities rather than ad hoc processes
- Strengthen governance, controls, and auditability by embedding validation checks, documentation standards, and traceability directly into pricing and compliance tools and analyses
- Collaborate with US and Irish leadership to ensure objectives are met and to support the evolution of actuarial analytics and tooling capabilities over time
Additional Responsibilities:
- Evaluate industry trends and external context to inform actuarial analytics, pricing assumptions, and tool evolution
- Mentor and support actuarial staff, and collaborate with actuaries and partners across teams and geographies
- Contribute actuarial and analytical expertise to initiatives spanning medical and ancillary products, with a focus on shared platforms and consistent methodologies
- Support modernization initiatives through process improvement, analytics automation, and enhancement of actuarial tools and workflows
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen and evolve enterprise risk management and pricing governance practices
- Support senior management with actuarial and technical input on strategic initiatives as needed
Your leadership skills will be exercised in shaping how actuarial pricing and compliance capabilities scale and remain reliable across the organization. Senior management will rely on your actuarial judgment and technical leadership to help drive consistent, transparent, and well‑governed pricing outcomes, as well as to support the development and mentoring of actuarial talent as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Fellow of Society of Actuaries (Ireland/UK, US), or near Fellow designation
- Proven solid actuarial pricing experience in health insurance or related benefits field, including support of pricing, studies, or compliance activities
- Demonstrable knowledge of health insurance underwriting and rating concepts, including experience analysis and risk selection methodologies
- Proven experience working closely with underwriting and actuarial stakeholders to support pricing or analytical outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to translate actuarial requirements into analytical, technical, or tooling solutions used by broader teams
- Proven ability to be comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed environment and providing actuarial leadership without direct ownership of market pricing decisions
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with healthcare claims data and financial experience analysis, including understanding of costs, expected claims, and benefit pricing
- Demonstrable experience mentoring actuarial students, providing technical or analytical leadership within a team
- Demonstrated predictive analytics capabilities, such as machine learning
- Proven data management skills using SQL or similar environments
- Demonstrable programming experience in R, Python or similar languages used in analytical workflows
- Proven data visualization skills in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
- Proven experience supporting or contributing to actuarial pricing, analytics, or compliance platforms or system modernization efforts
