Experience:

  • Deep knowledge of major cloud technologies including virtualization, containers, networking, storage, security, etc. on different cloud platforms and additional knowledge or experience in the areas of IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management and/or resiliency is a plus
  • Lead detailed design sessions on Public Cloud Infrastructure
  • DevOps tool chain deployment, establish CI/CD tools, code repository, code scanning, artifact repo, compliance scanning, packaging, deployment, and configuration management.  Designing and documenting detailed and implementable architectures for Azure cloud platforms
  • Infrastructure engineering experience with RHEL Linux, x86 hardware, networking (DNS, routing, switching) and storage technologies
  • Infrastructure (orchestration, provisioning and configuration) automation using tools such as Terraform, Packer, Chef, Ansible, etc. 
  • Hands-on with Public Cloud (IaaS and PaaS) and Infrastructure as Code having developed tools and scripts to build base VMs and OS configurations inclusive of security best practices and middleware/platform installation and configuration
  • Proof of technical implementation skills across a range of technologies for Azure public cloud
  • Structuring requirements (functional and non-functional) and backlog 
  • Management tools for monitoring, logging, analytics/reporting/dashboards, request management, service catalog, backup, high availability (HA), disaster recovery - knowledge preferred and expertise with popular tools like Splunk and native cloud tools is highly desirable

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • You will be responsible for Infrastructure RoadMap for the platform
  • Develop Cloud Strategy for On-boarding On-Prem applications to Public Cloud
  • Manage, monitor and Optimize Cloud Network performance
  • Develop Cloud Security Strategy to constantly improve the Security posture of the platform
  • You will be involved in platform design discussion with all Development and Engineering teams to provide the infrastructure insight and manage the proper technology
  • You will create tooling and automation to continuously improve operational reliability of the cloud infrastructure You will be responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring and Infra Provisioning for the Platform which comprises of Cloud infrastructure and On Prem technologies 
  • You will closely partner with Engineering and Technical Support teams to drive resolution of critical and complex issues 
  • You will Publish and implement operational standards for all Cloud infrastructure and services 
  • You will take the lead in incident, change and problem management 
  • Provide engineering leadership and mentor cloud engineers on projects
  • You'll also be expected to engage with Sr. Leadership, business partners, internal team members, and collaborators to drive initiatives supporting the organization's most critical business priorities and initiatives
  • SRE Evangelist influencing SRE principals with the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced Degree in a related technical field 
  • Experience in IT
  • Experience in Infrastructure Engineering
  • Experience in Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Experience on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
  • Experience in Docker and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in specific technology design and implementation competencies such as VPC/Virtual Network design, IAM definition, OS tuning/configuration, database tuning/configuration, operations, and security
  • Hands on with cloud native scripting such Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
  • Hands on with CI CD technologies such as ArgoCD
  • Hands on scripting with one or more: YAML, JSON, PowerShell, BASH or Python
  • Familiarity with the logging and monitoring tools like ELK, Splunk, Azure Monitor, and Azure Log Analytics
  • Cloud storage knowledge of services like S3, Azure Blob, Swift, Rubrik, Cohesity, Azure Disks, Azure Files, Azure Queues, and Azure Tables
