Optum is looking for an experienced, curious and self-motivated individual to join a team that will be responsible for the development of new products and services for the organization. Partnering with technical teams and the business, they will provide subject matter expertise and build solid relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders.  

The successful candidate will contribute bringing solutions to the market and support our organization during product development and operations. We are looking for people who can collaborate cross-functionally, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, have proven product management experience, and the ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and assist the development of new products to meet customer needs 
• Supporting Technical Teams in the design and deployment of tools and products into the marketplace 
• Leading solution delivery projects; ensuring the delivery of robust, sustainable and scalable solutions, while engaging with IT and business partners 
• Participating in all phases of Product development life cycle including ideation, requirements gathering, deployment, post-live support and operational support 
• Working with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders, including data, analytics, engineering, and user experience teams 
• Lead and assist activities like sprint planning, retrospectives, product roadmap and backlog 
• Partner with the business to identify and create strategies to improve products and services offered to our customers 
• Own and maintain in-house developed products, tools and solutions 
• Capture requirements and user stories, prioritize features, support UAT activities, and oversee delivery of functionalities and products roadmap
• Ensure solution design, leading business process development as appropriate
• Work with senior leadership to communicate product vision and performance

Required Qualifications:

• Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in a relevant field (IT/Computer sciences, SW development, Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business) or equivalent experience 
• Proven experience in product development and/or product management experience 
• Proven experience in Applications, Products and SW development/implementation methodologies like Agile and Scrum, or similar 
• Demonstrable stakeholder management experience in leadership and decision-making roles
• Proven experience working in a large multinational company or similar environment
• Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including technical writing and documentation
• Proven understanding of IT systems, databases and other related technologies 
• Demonstrated understanding of Analytics, Data Science, Databases and Cloud computing 
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), SharePoint, and Visio
• Demonstrated business acumen and a customer focused mindset and/or relevant experience
