Optum is looking for an experienced, curious and self-motivated individual to join a team that will be responsible for the development of new products and services for the organization. Partnering with technical teams and the business, they will provide subject matter expertise and build solid relationships with our customers and internal stakeholders.  

The successful candidate will contribute bringing solutions to the market and support our organization during product development and operations. We are looking for people who can collaborate cross-functionally, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, have proven product management experience, and the ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment.

What you will do:

  • Lead and assist the development of new products to meet customer needs 
  • Supporting Technical Teams in the design and deployment of tools and products into the marketplace 
  • Leading solution delivery projects; ensuring the delivery of robust, sustainable and scalable solutions, while engaging with IT and business partners 
  • Participating in all phases of Product development life cycle including deployment, post-live support and operational support 
  • Working with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders, including data, analytics, engineering, and user experience teams 
  • Lead and assist activities like sprint planning, retrospectives, product roadmap and backlog 
  • Partner with the business to identify and create strategies to improve products and services offered to our customers 
  • Own and maintain in-house developed products, tools and solutions 
  • Capture requirements, prioritize features, support UAT activities, and oversee delivery of functionalities and products roadmap
  • Ensure solution design, leading business process development as appropriate
  • Work with senior leadership to communicate product vision and performance

What you will bring: 

  • Degree Qualified (BA, BS) in a relevant field (IT/Computer sciences, SW development, Operations, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business) or equivalent experience 
  • Proven experience in product development and/or product management experience 
  • Demonstrable experience in Applications, Products and SW development/implementation methodologies like Agile and Scrum, or similar 
  • Proven stakeholder management experience in leadership and decision-making roles
  • Proven experience working in a large multinational company or similar environment
  • Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, including: Technical writing and technical documentation 
  • Demonstrable understanding of IT systems, databases and other related technologies 
  • Demonstrable understanding of Analytics, Data Science, Databases and Cloud computing 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Suite like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. SharePoint and Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's, M.B.A., or PhD in a relevant field 
  • Demonstrable Business Acumen, customer facing mindset and/or relevant experience 
  • Proven experience in pharmacy benefit management, pharmacy, healthcare consultancy or related fields 
  • Proven ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment 
  • Demonstrable solid analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Demonstrable solid organizational skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodologies, like PRINCE2 
  • Proven experience working in a customer success team, customer support operations, technical support, or customer service 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Master Data Management solutions and best practices
