This role requires a results driven leader who can scale standardized, global capabilities and translate strategic vision into measurable financial impact. The VP will be pivotal in advancing operational excellence, accelerating automation, and ensuring strategic initiatives deliver meaningful savings and enterprise value
Role Purpose:
The Vice President of Capability Strategy for Payment Integrity will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for defining, standardizing, executing, and scaling core Payment Integrity (PI) capabilities across the organization.
This role provides strategic direction and leadership to ensure PI capabilities are designed for consistency, efficiency, and enterprise-wide scalability, while also leading the PI Automation function to accelerate transformation through advanced technology and AI enabled solutions.
Operating across five global geographies and a workforce of more than 10,000 FTEs, the VP will drive standardization and optimization of operational capabilities in partnership with Operations, Technology, Product, Analytics, Transformation, and People teams. This role ensures cohesive operating models, consistent execution, and measurable improvements in performance, quality, and efficiency.
In addition, this leader drives robust cross collaboration by integrating Payment Integrity capabilities with adjacent functions such as Claims, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), RQ, and Eligibility to enhance upstream data quality and end-to-end operational effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Execution: Define and deliver a multiyear PI Capability strategy and roadmap aligned with enterprise priorities, with clear, measurable value realization
- Financial Impact: Drive cost savings and growth enablement through unified execution across PI Ops, Product, Technology, Analytics, Transformation, and enterprise partners
- Operations Capability Standardization: Deliver standardized, scalable PI operational capabilities across all functions & locations, improving efficiency, consistency, & performance
- Enterprise Strategic Program Identification & Execution: Deliver PI strategic initiatives end-to-end, ensuring cross functional alignment, ownership, execution discipline, and measurable value
- Global Location Strategy Enablement: Deliver the enablement and execution of the Global Location Strategy, including data de-identification, ensuring legal and technical alignment and ensure consistent adoption across all geographies
- Vendor Optimization & Capability Penetration: Partner with enterprise teams to deliver a right sourcing model that reduces cost, improves capability penetration, and maximizes vendor value through rigorous selection, onboarding, and performance management
- Quality @ Source & Provider Experience Improvement: Deliver programs that improve upstream claim and provider data quality, reduce abrasion, and strengthen provider experience through measurable improvements in key metrics
- Automation Leadership: Lead and direct a high performing Automation team collaborating with Technology and Analytics to Identify, evaluate, and deploy advanced automation technologies to streamline operations
- Commercial Growth Innovation (Operations Focus): Partner with enterprise leaders to identify and implement operational innovations that drive commercial growth. Own the end-to-end process from opportunity identification to value realization
- Technology & Product Roadmap Partnership: Collaborate closely with Technology and Product teams to co-create and deliver on the PI capability roadmap drive adoption of innovative technologies that support business objectives
- Executive Communication: Deliver concise, strategic communication to ensure alignment across the organization. Regular updates and clear messaging engage senior leadership and drive enterprise-wide action

What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience demonstrating enterprise leadership impact
- Proven extensive progressive leadership experience, including senior executive accountability for defining and scaling enterprise capabilities across large, global, matrixed organizations
- Proven executive ownership of multiyear capability and transformation strategies, with a demonstrated ability to translate enterprise vision into measurable financial, operational, and quality outcomes
- Demonstrated success leading largescale, complex programs spanning Operations, Technology, Product, Analytics, and Transformation, with clear accountability for end-to-end execution and value realization
- Proven deep experience driving standardization and optimization of operational capabilities across multiple geographies and business lines, improving consistency, efficiency, and scalability at enterprise scale
- Demonstrated solid financial and business acumen, with a track record of delivering material cost savings, productivity gains, and growth enablement through disciplined execution and automation
- Demonstrated executive level communication and influence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage, align, and challenge senior leaders and boards in highly complex, matrixed environments
- Proven experience building and leading high performing global teams (including automation and advanced capability teams), fostering accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on problem solving in fast paced, transformation driven environments
Other useful skills and experience include:
- Proven deep knowledge of the U.S. Healthcare ecosystem, including major healthcare entities, claims lifecycle, eligibility, member data, and provider interactions
- Proven significant experience in Payment Integrity, Healthcare Financial Services, Health Technology, or adjacent domains, with demonstrated impact at enterprise scale
- Demonstrated executive leadership of automation, AI/ML, and advanced analytics initiatives, from early ideation through scaled, enterprise deployment
- Proven ownership of affordability and medical spend avoidance programs, delivering sustained and measurable financial outcomes
- Proven experience defining and executing global location and right-sourcing strategies, including vendor optimization, capability penetration, and governance across internal and external partners
- Proven solid operational excellence background, including operational metrics, workforce management, quality frameworks, process improvement, and change management at scale
- Demonstrated strategic perspective on technology and product roadmaps, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering, product, and analytics leaders to drive adoption and business value
