The Account Manager, Client Service - Remote plays a key role within the Optum Financial Payer Strategy & Management team. This position supports Senior Account Managers in delivering exceptional client service, driving client satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence through proactive service management, issue resolution, and data-driven insights.
The role serves as a connector across internal teams, helping to resolve client needs, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain critical documentation that supports solid client relationships. This individual will contribute to the continued growth and success of the organization by fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key performance indicators for the Payer Strategy & Management team include client retention, renewal revenue, client engagement, and overall client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner cross-functionally to identify, escalate, and resolve issues impacting clients, members, and Optum Financial
- Support day-to-day operations within the Payer Strategy & Management team to drive efficiency, accountability, and service excellence
- Analyze data and performance reports to identify trends, provide insights, and make recommendations aligned with client strategic objectives
- Track and manage open items to ensure timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders
- Identify potential risks and proactively communicate concerns to support effective client relationship management
- Develop and maintain documentation, job aids, and process resources to support knowledge sharing and operational consistency
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client experience and team effectiveness

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Account Management experience
- Experience in healthcare (Medicare and Medicaid), financial services, or a related field; equivalent coursework or experience will also be considered
- Ability to travel up to 10% - 15% when required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
