The Senior Scrum Master leads end to end agile delivery for Amazon Connect digital chat, messaging, and AI powered bot programs hosted on AWS. This role is responsible for driving sprint execution, delivery predictability, and cross team coordination across multiple workstreams including chat, chatbot, routing, and platform integrations.
As a senior level leader, this role partners closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Architects, QA, DevOps, and AWS platform teams to ensure disciplined agile practices, proactive risk management, and transparent delivery reporting. The position plays a critical role in enabling on time, high quality rollout of customer and agent digital messaging experiences.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
Agile Delivery Leadership
- Lead Scaled Agile delivery for digital chat, messaging, and AI bot initiatives on Amazon Connect and AWS
- Facilitate all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Drive sprint discipline, team accountability, and continuous improvement across delivery teams
Program & Dependency Management
- Manage cross team dependencies spanning Amazon Connect, AWS services, CRM platforms, chatbot frameworks, and APIs
- Proactively identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks, blockers, and execution constraints
- Coordinate workstreams across chat UX, backend services, bot development, and integration layers
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and clear acceptance criteria
- Support Engineering and Architecture teams by removing impediments and enabling focus on delivery
- Act as a trusted delivery advisor for senior leadership
Delivery Metrics & Reporting
- Ensure Rally, Jira hygiene, velocity tracking, sprint metrics, and milestone transparency
- Provide regular delivery health updates to leadership including progress, risks, and forecasted timelines
- Enable predictable planning and commitment tracking across agile increments

Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of overall experience in technology delivery and agile program execution
- 8+ years as a Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Leader, with experience at Senior Manager or equivalent level
- Hands-on experience supporting teams working on AWS based platforms
- Solid experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams in high visibility programs
- Proven experience leading large, multi team agile programs with complex dependencies
- Solid familiarity with:
- Amazon Connect (Chat & Messaging)
- AWS Lambda, Lex, APIs, and integration patterns
- Chatbots, digital messaging channels, and customer engagement platforms
- Deep expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to improve delivery predictability, velocity, and sprint discipline
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with architects and engineers on technical delivery challenges
- Tools & Reporting
- Advanced experience with Jira and Agile reporting dashboards
- Proven solid data driven mindset for tracking sprint health, risks, and commitments
- Proven excellent leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to operate confidently with senior leadership, product, and engineering executives
- Proven solid communication skills with the ability to simplify complex delivery topics

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
