The AI Enablement Lead is a high-impact individual contributor role responsible for designing, scaling, and operationalizing enterprise AI adoption programs to drive workforce transformation. Operating at a senior manager-equivalent scope, this role demands significant ownership, influence, and the ability to launch and manage programs with the speed and accountability of a product owner.

You will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI enablement programs, from strategy and design to execution, measurement, and iteration. You will partner with cross-functional teams across Technology, the People team, learning and development teams, and business units to drive AI adoption and upskilling across the enterprise. This role is for a proactive self-starter who can translate strategic goals into tangible outcomes, ensuring AI becomes a core component of UHG workforce to amplify productivity, build in-demand AI skills, and augment employee capabilities.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end program management of enterprise AI enablement initiatives, including AI Immersion program, broad-based upskilling, and large-scale adoption campaigns
  • Design and execute scalable AI enablement strategies that build AI confidence and skills across technical and corporate audiences, driving measurable behavioral change
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on enterprise AI tools, with deep proficiency in Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise, providing guidance on how to leverage these tools to redesign workflows and unlock efficiencies
  • Own and manage key enablement platforms, including the AI Hub and associated dashboards, to provide visibility into adoption trends and deliver insights for coaching at scale
  • Establish and monitor clear success metrics and KPIs (e.g., adoption rates, proficiency levels, productivity improvements) to track program impact, assess feedback, and demonstrate value to executive stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the AI industry and evolving tool landscape to ensure our enablement strategies effectively support the needs of all enterprise AI personas
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment to ensure enablement programs are aligned with strategic priorities, technology roadmaps, and business outcomes
  • Drive the continuous improvement and innovation of enablement programs, rapidly iterating based on feedback and data to ensure effectiveness and scale what works

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a large, matrixed organization, with a proven track record of leading complex transformation initiatives from concept through execution
  • 4+ years of experience developing and delivering training, enablement content, or learning programs (e.g., workshops, playbooks, certification pathways)
  • 4+ years of experience in program management, workforce transformation, AI adoption, or digital transformation initiatives
  • 2+ years of experience working with AI technologies and trends, including applying AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation, decision-support tools) to business processes and workforce productivity
  • 2+ years of experience influencing and communicating with senior leadership, including executive briefings, strategic messaging, and stakeholder alignment
  • 2+ years of experience with ChatGPT Enterprise and M365 Copilot tools for content creation, reporting, and program delivery
  • Ability to work a Hybrid schedule in Eden Prairie MN


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) or a background in process engineering and optimization
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools or platforms (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Claude Co-Work, Microsoft Copilot Studio)
  • Direct experience working on an AI-focused workforce transformation or large-scale upskilling initiative
  • Experience in the healthcare or technology industry
  • Expertise in organizational change management practices (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR, or similar) to drive behavioral change and technology adoption
  • Background in learning and development, with experience designing programs that build skills at scale
  • Solid understanding of responsible AI practices, including governance, ethical AI, and compliance considerations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
