This is a hands on architecture role leading end to end design and delivery of complex healthcare systems, with direct technical ownership across AI enabled capabilities, Java/Spring services, enterprise integrations, and modern platform patterns. The role requires an architect who actively builds and reviews production grade solutions, mentors engineers through hands on guidance, and partners across product and engineering to deliver secure, interoperable, and scalable healthcare platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead end to end architecture for complex healthcare systems-from early solutioning and design through delivery
  • Develop AI enabled capabilities (LLMs, NLP, ML pipelines) with strong emphasis on safety, governance, and real world performance
  • Build and review production grade Java/Spring services, APIs, and integrations; mentor engineers through hands on pairing and technical guidance
  • Architect scalable Salesforce solutions, including data modeling, and API integrations with enterprise platforms
  • Apply healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7) and ensure HIPAA compliant data handling across all components
  • Partner with product, engineering, and platform teams to establish technical patterns, drive adoption of best practices, and improve system reliability
  • Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with solid architecture exposure and ability to work independently while expanding business and technology knowledge
  • Hands on expertise in Java/Spring Boot and modern API development, including REST, event driven integrations, and secure service design
  • Demonstrated experience with AI/ML, including designing or integrating models, applying governance patterns, and working with modern ML tooling
  • Healthcare domain experience, including familiarity with FHIR/HL7 interoperability and HIPAA/PHI aligned design patterns
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and influence teams, answering complex technical questions and driving consistent engineering excellence
  • Proven ability to design solutions across multiple product families and handle scope beyond a single product
  • Solid communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in Salesforce platform architecture, preferably including API integrations, and platform governance
  • Experience in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD integration as part of modern engineering patterns
  • Exposure to FHIR-driven data flows, enterprise data patterns, or payer/provider systems
  • Experience influencing technology decisions, evaluating tools, and advocating for modern development practices
  • Prior work in scaled agile environments and solid understanding of solutioning, options analysis, and roadmapping

Leadership & Behavioral Expectations:

  • Works independently without close supervision, demonstrating ownership and expanding domain expertise
  • Provides guidance to engineers and answers complex questions; demonstrates consistent technical excellence
  • Advocates for modern engineering technologies and emerging patterns; contributes to strategic platform and capability design
