The Associate Finance Director - Revenue Analytics will provide leadership for a team responsible for revenue-focused analytics within Optum Health Finance. This role will help drive insight into revenue performance, business trends, and growth opportunities by applying strong technical, financial, and strategic problem-solving skills across a broad set of business questions.
Acting as a subject matter leader and trusted partner to senior stakeholders, this individual will translate complex data into business-relevant insight, influence decision-making, and support initiatives that improve forecasting, planning, and overall financial performance. The role is well suited for a leader who combines analytical depth with strong communication and the ability to drive results through collaboration.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead revenue analytics work supporting financial planning, business performance evaluation, and strategic decision-making
- Manage and develop team members while fostering a high-performing, solutions-oriented environment
- Serve as a functional expert on revenue trends, analytics, and performance drivers
- Build and enhance analytical models, reporting frameworks, and scalable tools to improve business insight
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Actuarial, and business leaders to support strategic priorities and performance management
- Solve complex business challenges by applying structured analysis and innovative thinking
- Lead cross-functional projects that advance business objectives and improve financial visibility
- Communicate complex concepts and findings in a way that is clear, practical, and tailored to the audience
- Influence leadership through well-supported recommendations and forward-looking analytic perspectives

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in analytics, data, or financial modeling environments
- 1+ years of people leadership or formal team leadership experience
- Solid background in financial and analytic data
- Demonstrated success solving complex business problems and leading impactful analytical work
- Demonstrated solid business judgment and the ability to connect analytics to strategic and operational priorities
- Demonstrated effective communicator with the ability to present technical insights to non-technical and executive audiences
- Proven ability to work across functions and influence outcomes in a matrixed organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in healthcare, payer, or managed care settings
- Experience supporting leaders with data-driven recommendations tied to growth and business performance
- Background in revenue performance, forecasting, or financial analytics
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
