As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Chief of Staff team supporting utilization management clinic operations. This role provides analytical and operational support for Medical Claim Review (MCR) activities and special projects, with a strong focus on data SharePoint documentation and workflow adherence. The Business Analyst will also help coordinate and manage work across Optum and UnitedHealthcare to ensure alignment and timely execution.
This position delivers high level analytical, operational, and strategic support to drive key initiatives, streamline processes, and improve organizational alignment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, strong communicator, and trusted partner who thrives in a fast paced, mission driven environment.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with utilization management, Medical Claim Review (MCR), and clinic operations stakeholders to gather requirements, document business needs, and translate them into clear analytical deliverables
- Support cross functional coordination between Optum and UnitedHealthcare by tracking work intake, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely execution of initiatives and special projects
- Maintain and enhance SharePoint sites, dashboards, and documentation to ensure accurate, up to date visibility into operational workflows, reporting, and project status
- Develop process documentation, business insights, and executive ready summaries to support decision making by the Chief of Staff team and senior leadership
- Apply specialized subject matter expertise to analyze and interpret data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that support business and client objectives
- Independently prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines while producing, publishing, and distributing scheduled and ad hoc operational and client reports
- Clearly communicate insights, analyses, and recommendations to appropriate audiences, providing explanations and guidance within the area of expertise

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, operations, or strategic support roles
- 1+ years of experience working in SharePoint
- Experience in analysis of business process and workflow and providing an evaluation, benchmark and/or process improvement recommendation
- Experience planning, prioritizing, organizing, and completing complex work efforts to meet established objectives
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management experience
- Experience working in a matrixed healthcare company

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
