The Growth Engagement & Operations (GEO) Sales Operations Consultant supports the Employer Business sales organization within Optum Financial by providing operational, analytical, and strategic support across national accounts, middle market, and distribution sales segments. This role serves as a critical operational partner to sales leadership and producers by enabling efficient sales execution, improving pipeline visibility, coordinating proposal and solution resources, and supporting revenue growth initiatives within the GEO

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical sales operational issues
- Support sales operations initiatives including onboarding, internal communications, and sales process documentation
- Troubleshoot internal operational issues impacting opportunity progression
- Assist with development of operational playbooks and sales support procedures
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Identify operational risks to revenue targets and escalate insights to leadership
- Provide operational and analytical support to producers to reduce administrative burden
- Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
- Work with less structured, more complex issues
- Assesses and interpret customer needs and requirements
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solve complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses
- Work with minimal guidance; seek guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Translates concepts into practice
- Provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
- Coach, provide feedback, and guide others
Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales support, business operations, or related roles
- Experience working within matrixed enterprise organizations
- Experience supporting large employer or middle market sales organizations
- Experience supporting health care, benefits administration, or financial services sales teams
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Proven solid analytical and data interpretation skills
- Proven ability to develop dashboards or executive reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting complex B2B sales organizations
- Knowledge of pipeline management and forecasting processes
- Demonstrated ability to improve operational processes
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate internal resources including proposal development, solution architecture, underwriting, and implementation teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
