The Enterprise Cloud Program (ECP) is a multi-year initiative to accelerate adoption of public cloud solutions across UnitedHealth Group (UHG). The program, led by the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms and Services (ETIPS) team, will establish foundational guidance and standards to help application teams make informed decisions and provide a framework for each line of business to assess, prioritize and establish a cost-benefit analysis for application migrations.
The Enterprise Cloud Migration Program Director will be spearheading the program coordination with diverse cross-platform teams and platform implementations. This role will support a program & project management team for cloud capability workstreams in partnership with product & engineering teams. This team will work to set tool standards for cloud capability teams, hold workstream meetings, run scrum of scrums and support high priority capability project management as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead team of cloud capability project managers
- Have deep understanding of other project life cycles including waterfall and how to manage dependencies between teams
- Leverage enterprise approved AI tools (e.g., M365 Copilot and approved analytics/automation platforms) to streamline program management workflows, including portfolio reporting, risk analysis, dependency tracking, and executive communications
- Embed AI into standard delivery practices, including planning, status reporting, financial tracking, and retrospectives, driving measurable efficiency and quality improvements
- Plan/track all external team dependencies in partnership with product & engineering teams; help resolve bottle necks
- Work with other program leaders to drive the definition and refinement of the program backlog
- Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on program-level plans, progress and quality
- Actively manages the program scope, budget, risks, issues, deliverables, and schedule of individual program tasks, as well as timely reporting of program status
- Facilitate ongoing key stakeholder communication between Business, Finance, Operations, Product & Delivery teams
- Support weekly / monthly status reporting to key stakeholders
- Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches
- Drive solutions to unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI capabilities and trends to inform program strategy, tooling evolution, and operational innovation

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise or 8 years of equivalent experience
- 8+ years of Project/Program Management experience in a large enterprise environment
- 3+ years of Agile/Scrum working experience
- Experience using AI tools to augment executive workflows, program governance, and portfolio insights
- Experience identifying and managing expectations of the key stakeholders and taking their support to help resolve bottlenecks
- Experience participating in or leading the program steering committee reviews and gate approvals
- Experience building and manage relationships across a large enterprise
- Experience with cross functional and enterprise program delivery experience
- Proven leadership in driving adoption of new tools and ways of working at scale
- Proven solid ability to translate AI generated insights into actionable program decisions and executive ready narratives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud Foundations Certification (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Health care insurance background
- Process implementation & re-engineering
- Very solid understanding of Cloud technologies & architecture
- Proven solid analytical, problem-solving and systems analysis skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
