This position is National Remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four (4) days per week.

Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Communications Specialist to join the UnitedHealth Group communications channel team. Supports the execution and optimization of internal communications across digital channels. This role combines content publishing support and performance analysis to help teams deliver clear, effective messaging to employees. Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, demonstrating strong attention to detail and organization skills. Takes a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to resolving issues and continuously improving processes, while building strong relationships with partners and stakeholders at all levels.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST.

This will be on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer complex questions across internal channels to help drive business decisions
  • Perform collection and reporting of data from various sources
  • Share findings on channel trends and recommendations for change
  • Manage and execute content publishing; provide publishing support to internal stakeholders
  • Execute the end-to-end production of internal email campaigns
  • Perform channel reporting and analysis to deliver actionable insights on channel strategy
  • Handle change requests quickly and efficiently
  • Be solutions-oriented when issues and roadblocks arise
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 apps including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint and Viva Engage
  • Utilize tools such as Mimecast Aware, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Analytics

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be 18+ years of age or older
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, content management or analytics role
  • Proficiency with content management tools and analytics platforms
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Sense of urgency, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience with computers and Windows based programs including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience executing email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both peers and senior leaders
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team
  • Ability to think analytically and problem-solve creatively when needed
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools independently

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from  $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
