To drive the execution of UHG's Enterprise Simplification strategy through implementation of large enterprise-wide transformation efforts. This role will develop and execute a multi-year roadmap that includes feature development of strategic platforms, migration to the selected enterprise strategic solutions and decommission of legacy platforms. Ideal candidate would have experience driving process improvement and automation.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The Enterprise Simplification ORx and OFS lead partners with the LOB tech and business leaders to develop, drive and execute strategies for identifying and funding simplification & decommissioning opportunities
- Drives adherence to Enterprise standards and goals by cultivating year-over-year pipelines via app rationalization to reduce the tech debt and remove technology that could be a risk for the company
- Identify and drive process optimization and automation opportunities
- Identify operational efficiency opportunities in partnership with business and technology leaders with the focus on improving end-user experience
- Set program/project direction and strategy, engage with Sr. Executives to ensure program alignment, and direct program team on turning strategy into action
- Define overall program structure including governance. Continually evaluates effectiveness of program structure and adjust as needed
- Develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives, effectively anticipates cross functional gaps/dependencies and resolves them before program timeline adversely impacted
- Provide project management expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocations, facilitation
- Ensure that all project dependencies/linkages are identified (e.g. technology, regulatory, NDA, cross businesses etc.) and aligned/addressed

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience
- 7+ years of design thinking, process improvement and automation experience
- Demonstrated successful leadership skills in program execution and people management
- Proven solid strategic focus combined with operational, analytical and project management skills
- Ability to identify more efficient ways to get work done despite changing environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience of driving simplification strategy, transformation, and accelerating application decommission
- Ability to be a results-oriented leader with both strategic and operational experience in a high-growth organization, proven track record to 'connect the dots' across business functions, accelerate delivery of benefits in the most sophisticated enterprise programs, and build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated strategic planning and vision
- Demonstrated technical/financial/risk management proficiency
- Proven CIO/CEO level communication/reporting/presentation skills
- Demonstrated advanced project management and skills training
- Ability to be a good team player and leader with the ability to mentor and coach
- Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on data analysis / facts
- Ability to drive multiple tasks and priorities
- Proven ability to work and be successful in a complex matrix environment
- Proven broad knowledge of healthcare system and technology alternatives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
