The Director of Governance and Delivery is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing multiple banking projects, driving collaboration across departments, and ensuring successful delivery from initiation through completion. This position is charged with continuously enhancing the project management framework to promote sustained growth and operational excellence within the organization. In addition to managing project execution, the Director develops and refines governance materials for management committee meetings, fostering solid oversight and transparent communication at the executive level. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the role ensures efficient business operations, strict adherence to compliance standards, effective risk mitigation, and the integration of industry-leading project management practices. The Director works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align strategic initiatives with business goals, optimize resource allocation, and achieve seamless coordination across the bank.
This role will sit in the Minneapolis office where you'll enjoy a hybrid schedule of four days per week in the office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive collaboration across departments by partnering with stakeholders to deliver strategic banking initiatives that align with organizational goals
- Lead the execution of banking projects, including infrastructure development and resource allocation, ensuring successful delivery from initiation to completion
- Develop, refine, and maintain governance materials for board and management committee meetings, fostering solid oversight and transparent executive communication
- Prepare and present executive materials to business leaders, supporting clear and effective communication throughout the organization
- Monitor and maintain awareness of current and upcoming projects within the broader organizational strategy, ensuring alignment and seamless coordination
- Lead and actively participate in cross-functional meetings, updating relevant project documentation and ensuring stakeholder engagement
- Provide expert guidance in defining project scope, assessing risks, selecting methodologies, and planning resource needs for optimal project outcomes
- Promptly communicate potential risks or issues to senior management, supporting proactive risk mitigation and compliance adherence
- Champion growth initiatives and project management delivery efforts, continuously enhancing the project management framework to promote operational excellence
- Develop comprehensive program plans, track progress, measure outcomes, and maintain accurate records of metrics, goals, decisions, and risks
- Proactively resolve issues and remove barriers to ensure timely project completion and adherence to deadlines
- Address complex challenges, analyze downstream impacts, and implement solutions to drive sustained organizational growth
- Report delivery status and financial performance to leadership, identifying and escalating risks or issues early for informed decision-making
- Ensure effective planning, resource optimization, and high-quality project outcomes
- Participate in business planning and strategy sessions, aligning project execution with the bank's long-term objectives

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in execution/operations management
- 5+ years of experience managing projects and governance, successfully prioritizing work based on ROI, compliance, and strategic commitments
- 3+ years leading banking projects and engaging with senior leadership
- Skill in developing executive presentations; solid communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven self-motivated with solid follow-through
- Proven strategic thinker able to align strategies with business goals
- Proven flexible and collaborative approach
- Proven solid influence and partnership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in health and/or financial industries
- Familiarity with MS Project and Visio
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Teams).
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Willingness to travel 10% and adapt work schedule as needed

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
