Optum® Value Connect is a next-generation technology platform with intuitive, AI-enabled capabilities that help surface opportunities for improvement, identify root causes of underperformance, proactively identify interventions and rapidly facilitate interventions to drive outcome improvements directly or embedded in other applications.

As the Director of Product on the Quality Optimization team, part of the Value Connect Platform you will drive product strategy and execution to enable success in NCQA Health Plan Ratings (with HEDIS® at the core), CMS Stars, MSSP Performance, the CMS Quality Rating System (QRS), and other Quality Programs. Success is achieved by driving accuracy, compliance, and measurable year round performance improvement. Along with driving VBC success across all lines of business with a key focus on CMS Stars, MSSP, ACO REACH (Lead), MIPS, and client and state specific VBC quality programs, combining unified measurement across standard, configurable analytics, and integrated workflows to deliver consistent, measurable improvement for our Provider & ACO customers.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Drive showcase and align on product vision, go-to-market strategy, & technology roadmap teams with an AI-centric approach
  • Manage the capabilities across the entire product development life cycle
  • Optimize ongoing product performance, metrics, enhancements, financial health, and investment decisions as appropriate
  • Understand and evaluate enterprise-wide assets as portfolio expansions to improve the competitive position and drive customer value
  • Demonstrate systems thinking, readily identify downstream impacts of decisions, and proactively construe alternatives
  • Serve as the product champion and subject matter expert for the business and sales partners
  • Empower, lead, and manage product teams
  • Act as primary steward to drive informed decisions that generate revenue and growth while protecting operating expenses
  • Own go-to-market material update 
  • Support compliance, privacy, and legal product submissions 
  • Support both new and existing client communications

Required Qualifications: 

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare, healthcare tech, or technology sectors
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including owning product strategy, roadmap, and execution
  • 5+ years of HEDIS measures expertise, CMS Stars program excellence, MSSP/ACO REACH or similar quality program

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience building SaaS technology solutions
  • 4+ years of value based care program expertise
  • 3+ years of retrieval & abstraction expertise
  • 3+ years of experience supporting NCQA Health Plan Ratings
  • 2+ years of experience productizing AI/ML capabilities 
  • 2+ years of EMR interoperability and/or provider engagement experience
  • New product launch experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 - $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
