Director of Sales Operations to lead and optimize our sales processes, drive strategic initiatives, and foster collaboration between sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level professional staff
- Work most often impacts a large business unit, or multiple markets/sites
- Develops and executes strategies for a function or discipline that span a large business unit or multiple markets/sites
- Directing others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines, Product, service, or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)
- Possesses a strong command of MAPD compliance
- Liaison with multiple segments within Optum and United Healthcare/Medicare & Retirement
- This position is a people leader and will demonstrate leadership by nurturing relationships, embracing change, automation and efficiency
- Lead facilitator for Monthly Business Reviews with Growth Team RVP's
- Design and process flow development for the launch of a partnership with UHC Telesales, broker, ICA teams. Also works across Optum to leverage capabilities to drive cross sell activities
- Identification and dissemination of field Best Practices
- Development and implementation of enhancements to our Sales process flow
- Increased use of technology to drive efficiencies and remove barriers, including a recent overhaul of our Level of Care assessment process for our IESNP product
- Improvements to quality measures including engagement with the SCC Quality office on process improvement opportunities
- Responsibility for maintaining/enhance the Growth team SOP library
- Tracking/reporting Compliance risks and risk mitigation processes
- Ensures SLAs are met for the business in all areas of Sales Coordinator team
- Acts as the SME on Medicare Marketing Communication Guidelines in addition to Final Rule requirements. Possess the ability to translate regulation into processes while maintaining compliance
- Prepare monthly Operational performance reports
- Leads in issue resolution through various methods
- Participate in multiple cross functional work groups as identified to support continuous process improvements to seek automation, efficiency, policy development and reviews, etc.

Required Qualifications:
- Have, or be able to obtain, appropriate state licensure within 90 days of hire date
- 2+ years of experience managing an operations team or alike team
- Knowledge of healthcare industry
- Managing a salesforce utilizing a standard model, including the use of a CRM (salesforce, Jarvis, Mira and other similar products) to drive decisions
- Technical knowledge of the healthcare industry, especially long term care Medicaid and Medicare
- Expert user level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Lead management software knowledge and preview experience
- Ability to work a variety of hours, early morning, evenings and weekends, as required by various sales activities. Travel could be required as need for training, cross functional meeting and/or coverage for key accounts
Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
