As a Director of Technical Project/Program Management, you will serve as a business specialist and technology generalist, leading the definition, management, and strategic implementation of high-priority technology portfolios. In this role, you will lead the planning and execution of our IBMi platform portfolio-encompassing infrastructure, resiliency, and modernization initiatives. You will provide strategic leadership across multiple layers of management and senior professional staff, establishing integrated planning, governance, and risk management discipline. By aligning technology solutions with overarching business strategies, you will drive operational excellence, build scalable program management capabilities, and foster an accountability-focused execution culture across enterprise operations.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of the IBMi platform portfolio, focusing on infrastructure, resiliency, and modernization initiatives
- Establish integrated planning, cross-team dependency management, and operational execution readiness
- Drive robust governance, reporting, and risk management discipline across technical programs
- Provide leadership, direction, and career development to project and program managers across multiple management layers
- Build scalable project and program management capabilities, standards, and operational playbooks
- Drive an organizational culture of accountability, clarity, and execution excellence across large business units or sites
- Direct the integration of technical aspects across related projects and programs, ensuring alignment with senior leadership and business strategies
- Conduct needs assessments, cost/benefit analyses, and monitor portfolio financials to ensure strict budget compliance
- Support high-visibility and after-hours execution events as required to ensure platform stability and delivery success

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in technical project/program management and technology delivery
- 5+ years of experience in direct people leadership and team development
- Proven experience managing technology delivery within regulated environments
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical strategies directly to executive leadership
- Demonstrated track record of driving governance, financial monitoring, and risk management for enterprise technology portfolios
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project/Program Management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, or Agile/Scrum certifications)
- Experience within federal, state, or military compliant technology environments
- Experience managing mission-critical or 24x7 high-availability technology platforms
- Familiarity with IBMi or specialized enterprise mainframe/legacy platforms

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $134,600 - $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
