UnitedHealth Group is seeking a highly capable Executive Assistant to provide strategic administrative and operational support to the UHG Communications team and members of Communications leadership. This role serves as a trusted partner, enabling leaders to operate effectively, prioritize competing demands, and advance key business objectives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion, and professionalism, with the ability to manage confidential information and navigate complex organizational dynamics. They will bring experience supporting senior leaders in fast-paced environments, with strengths in executive support, communications coordination, event management, project execution, and operational excellence.
Success in this role requires solid critical thinking, sound decision-making, adaptability, and the ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and drive work forward in ambiguous or evolving situations. Outstanding organizational skills, relationship-building capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results are essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support calendar management of several members of the communications leadership team with complex schedules
- Assist with the management of travel and expense reporting for six members of the communications leadership team, including reconciling and submitting reports
- Be a critical team member in implementing the Enterprise Communications employee experience, by facilitating larger cross-business team meetings
- Oversee on-site office logistics in the Eden Prairie headquarters, including managing office supply inventory and helping onboard new employees
- Manage on-site team-building activities in the Eden Prairie headquarters, including planning events, ordering food on key dates and supporting the team, as needed
- Assist with creating and editing PowerPoint presentations, e-mail communications and reports
- Maintain a vast paper and electronic filing system
- Determine priority of matters of attention for the communications leadership team; redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate
- Handle printing, copying, mailing/overnight packages of materials
- Monitor and support progress of key business and operational activities
- Request follow-ups and take follow-up actions to support project deliverables

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience providing support in an Executive environment and interactions with individuals at all levels inside and outside of Communications
- Experience with fast-paced, externally facing organizations (Communications, Marketing, Government/Public Affairs)
- Proficient with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Preferred Qualification:
- 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting c-suite level executives
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $34 - $60 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
