Optum Financial is one of the five strategic pillars of UnitedHealth Group, driving innovation at the intersection of health care, finance, and technology. We are transforming how health care is financed and paid for - building a more connected, simplified payments ecosystem that reduces friction, increases accessibility, and makes care more affordable.
Within Optum Financial, the Consumer Payments division is a leader in supplemental benefits and health benefit account solutions that help individuals save and pay for care more effectively. Our solutions include Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), Lifestyle Savings Accounts (LSA), Directed Spend Programs, and more.
We are seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to support product marketing initiatives within the Consumer Payments B2B Marketing team. In this role, you will help translate market insights, competitive intelligence, and product knowledge into high-impact sales and marketing materials that drive engagement and business growth for Optum Financial's consumer benefit solutions.
This role is product marketing-focused, with an emphasis on translating competitive intelligence, proof points, and market insights into actionable sales and marketing content. You will partner with internal strategic insights teams and work cross-functionally with stakeholders in marketing, sales, product, and account management to ensure our go-to-market materials are grounded in evidence, aligned to our positioning, and equip our teams to sell and retain clients effectively.
The Product Marketing Specialist serves as the team's evidence and content engine - applying research and intelligence from strategic insights partners, building the proof points that substantiate our story, and ensuring the materials sales teams rely on are accurate, current, and consistent. You'll support both payer and employer markets, working across the full B2B lifecycle from prospect-facing content through client retention materials.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Translate competitive intelligence, market trends, and insights from strategic insights partners into usable sales and marketing deliverables - including battlecards, competitive briefs, talking points, and internal summaries
- Build and maintain a library of proof points, data statements, and client evidence that substantiate our value propositions across products and segments
- Partner with analytics, product, and account management teams to source and validate performance data, utilization metrics, and outcomes evidence, translating raw data into clear, compelling evidence statements
- Maintain content accuracy and version control across sales and marketing material libraries, ensuring all materials reflect current product capabilities, pricing, regulatory requirements, and approved messaging
- Support recurring material refresh cycles, coordinating updates across pitch decks, one-pagers, solution overviews, and training assets as products and positioning evolve
- Identify gaps in existing content and proactively develop new materials to address emerging needs from sales, account management, and marketing
- Support the development of sales enablement materials including pitch decks, sell sheets, one-pagers, battlecards, internal training content, and thought leadership assets
- Contribute to product launch readiness by developing content, go-to-market materials, and internal communications in partnership with product marketing leads
- Support recurring sales enablement programs and training sessions with research, content, and materials preparation
- Support marketing campaigns and engagement efforts across both payer and employer audiences, contributing content for email, social, events, and integrated marketing programs
